Shield of a Great Witness Volume I (Paperback Book)
Atticus Achilleus has a story to tell. The tale of the beginning of his ministry to bring light to the lost, peace to sworn enemies, and forgiveness to bitter hearts. How God, his shield and strength, called him, a soul of vulnerability and weakness, to be a great witness for his savior.
In this first half of Atticus's journey, Cambria is in the midst of a revenge cycle between a Cambrian (Welsh) governor and a Hibernian (Irish) king, Atticus finds himself unsure of his true heritage. He is thrust into the difficult choice of picking a side to stand with...but when he is mentored by a missionary to the lost souls in Hibernia, he finds it harder to prove where his loyalties lie. Atticus feels called to defend his people in Cambria against those that mean them harm, but he also knows there is a time for war and a time for peace. He finds a desire to teach others about his faith, and he learns to encourage those around him to rise up with boldness and courage to face their pasts and their fears. Join the mountain shepherd turned warrior and witness for God as he and his friends...and enemies...see how there is a power greater than hate and darkness, and an ever-present Shield of strength around them. And yet, with a Cambrian governor determined to start a war, betrayals, and multiple attempts on his life, will Atticus stand his ground...or flee?
